Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, share and keep the information needed to arrange your trip.
In force from 2 November 2026.
1. Who operates this service
Kushi Taxi, the trade name of a sole proprietorship of Anantha Soruba Santhi Thiraviam, at 3795, TNHB Colony, Villapuram, Madurai 625011, operates this website. Privacy requests: contact@kushitaxi.com; support +91 948 711 7000.
2. Information we collect
- When you send a booking request: your name and mobile number, and an email address only if you give one; if you book for someone else, the passenger's name and number.
- The trip: pickup and drop, in your own words and as chosen, the date and time, one way or round trip, the car type, the number of passengers and bags, and any note you add.
- The estimate shown to you, and a record of what our team does with the request (who handled it and when; no contact details are copied into that record).
A confirmed trip also creates records of the car and driver assigned to it, the fare, the payment and the receipt or invoice, and of any complaint you raise.
To run and protect the service we process limited technical information: your network address, for a short time, to limit repeated requests (it is not stored with your request); the request-status token described below; and server events, whose logs leave out names, phone numbers, email addresses and notes.
3. Why we use it
To check availability, work out or request a fare, arrange and manage the trip, contact you, send permitted acknowledgements of your request, resolve complaints and cancellations, keep the records the law requires, and keep the service secure. WhatsApp notifications are not used today. Marketing messages, including promotional WhatsApp messages, are separate from trip messages and would need your opt-in; none is sent.
4. Who receives your information
Only authorised Kushi Taxi staff, and the driver assigned to your trip, receive it: your name, phone number, pickup, drop, travel date and time and any special instructions, as far as needed to provide the trip. Your details are not sold or shared with other taxi operators.
When you type a place, the text is sent to Google Maps Platform to suggest places, and the chosen pickup and drop are sent to Google to measure the distance, driving time and tolls. Google handles this under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Maps Additional Terms of Service. We do not keep Google's results; we keep only Google's place identifier and our own figures.
Service providers process information for us only to run the service: Cloudflare (hosting the website), Supabase (the database, in Mumbai, India), Resend (request acknowledgement emails), and Kushi Taxi's own encrypted backups.
5. Request-status access, cookies and browser storage
The site sets one cookie, and only when you send a request: an opaque random token that lets this browser open the request-status page for the requests it sent. It contains no personal details, is stored by us only in a scrambled (hashed) form, cannot be read by scripts on the page, is sent only to this site, and lasts 30 days; access can be withdrawn. The booking card keeps your trip details in this browser tab while you fill it in; they are cleared when the tab is closed. There are no analytics, advertising or social-media trackers.
6. How long information is kept
Ordinary operational information (unconfirmed, rejected and cancelled requests, and your contact details and trip notes once the trip is over) is kept for 90 days, and routine backups roll over within 90 days. Records the law requires us to keep are kept longer: tax invoices, GST accounts and related settlement records for 72 months from the due date of the annual GST return; and, once the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 require it (from 13 May 2027), personal data and logs for at least one year. Records relevant to a dispute are kept until it is resolved.
7. Security
Contact details are stored separately from the trip, and only signed-in staff can see them; some staff see numbers masked. Access is limited by role. The site is served only over HTTPS. Backups are encrypted before they are stored, including the off-site copy. No website can promise absolute security; if a breach affects your information, we inform you and the authorities where the law requires.
8. Requests and complaints
Contact contact@kushitaxi.com to ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to complain. Your rights apply under Indian law and subject to the records the law requires us to keep. The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and its Rules come into force in stages. Grievance officer: Arjun, Grievance Officer; phone +91 75991 11444 (complaints only); email contact@kushitaxi.com.
9. Changes to this notice
The effective date is shown here. A material change is made here before it takes effect, with notice or consent where the law requires.
